Madeleine Paternot (New York, NY) Nomadic by nature, Paternot has lived all over the world, including New Zealand, Morocco, Andalusia, and the Swiss Alps. She received a B.A. in Anthropology from Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York, NY) in 1995 and attended the prestigious Art Center School of Design (Vevey, Switzerland) with a focus on Product Design in 1996. Kensington & Chelsea College (London, England) awarded Paternot a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Fine Art in 1998. She has studied at the Art Student League (New York, NY) and completed a residency in Painting at the School of Visual Arts, (New York, NY) in 2009 and 2010.
She was selected for “Swiss Art in the UK 2001” and showed at the Swiss Embassy in London. Over the past 12 years she has participated in multiple group exhibitions and more than a dozen solo shows. Her work has appeared in private and public collections in London (England), Paris (France), Milan (Italy), Lausanne (Switzerland), Verbier (Switzerland), Boston (MA), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Killarney, Co. Kerry (Ireland) and New York (New York).
She serves on the Board of Directors of the Heinemann Foundation for research, educational, charitable and scientific purpose. She is Co-Founder and President of the Verbier 3-D Residency and Sculpture Park. This residency brings together Swiss and international artists as an incubator for ideas and creativity. The artists participating in the 2011 edition are internationally acclaimed artists. Her studio is located in Brooklyn, New York. She lives in New York City with her two young sons, Kaylum and Matisse.

Elle est membre du comité du Heinemann Foundation pour la recherche, l’éducation, la charité et la science. Elle est Co-fondatrice et Présidente du Verbier 3-D Residency and Sculpture Park.
