Andy Moerlein is a nationally exhibited sculptor. Moerlein has an extensive resume of public art works. In the summer of 2010, his installations graced downtown Ithaca, NY; The Mill Brook Gallery Sculpture Garden in Concord, NH; and The Riverway Park in Brookline, MA. His sculptures can also be found at The Johnson Museum in Ithaca, NY; The Hood Museum in Hanover, NH; and The Currier Museum in Manchester, NH.
Moerlein’s artistic inspiration is derived from the unity that he finds between nature and humanity. His fascination with the beauty of birds and their flight patterns is evident is many of his pieces. Moerlein has curated art exhibitions in Oregon, New York, and New Hampshire. His articles and reviews have been published in numerous regional newspapers and arts magazines. For the past fifteen years, Moerlein has been an art teacher and gallery director at the Derryfield School in Manchester, NH. He received his BA from Dartmouth College and his MFA from Cornell University. He lives and works in Bow, New Hampshire.
