The Verbier 3-D Foundation presents new work by London-based artists Haroon Mirza and Helga Dorothea Fannon. The artists were invited for a research-led residency in Verbier to become immersed in the local environmental aesthetics and mythologies of the region whilst responding to current debates referencing the global topics of WATER and ENERGY.

The artists developed a body of work representing the apex of their residency where their distinct practices converged in a breathtaking display of artistic synergy. Through their shared fascination with challenging perceptions, the artists intertwine their distinctive practices, creating immersive experiences that highlight the interconnectedness of these elemental forces.

The residency has been developed with curators Alexa Jeanne Kusber and Paul Goodwin.

Vernissage & Walk w/ Haroon Mirza & Helga Dorothea Fannon
5 August 2023 - Verbier 3-D Foundation Sculpture Park 
From 10am to 4pm

• Meet at 10am at the Savoleyres lift station to go up the mountain
• Depart for a 5km guided Visual Poetry Walk with the artists through a visual journey into their inspiration, research, and the transformative power of the residency experience developed by Helga Dorothea Fannon
• Continue walk from Ruinettes lift station through to the Verbier 3-D Sculpture Park
• Stop at Haroon Mirza's new solar sculpture developed during his residency
• Drinks and nibbles will be served at the sculpture with introduction by the artists and Foundation
